Shaping Spaces that Connect People and Nature
My name is Luis Marrero, and I recently graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a minor in Architectural Engineering. My passion for architecture stems from a desire to create spaces that address real world challenges while improving the lives of the people who use them. By balancing creativity, technical knowledge, and problem solving, I strive to design environments that are functional, beautiful, environmentally responsible, and socially conscious.
I am interested in a wide range of project types and design challenges, from residential and commercial developments to educational, civic, cultural, and community focused projects. Through thoughtful design, I aim to create spaces that strengthen communities, support sustainability, and enhance the human experience.
Throughout my academic and professional experience, I have developed strong skills in digital modeling, drafting, construction documentation, physical model making, and architectural visualization. I am proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Twinmotion, and the Adobe Creative Suite, with a working knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino, and ArcGIS. My experience includes contributing to projects through all phases of design, from schematic development to construction documentation and permitting.
In addition to my design background, I am fluent in English, a native Spanish speaker, have intermediate proficiency in French, and have a conversational proficiency in Catalan allowing me to communicate effectively and collaborate across diverse cultural and professional environments.
I am currently seeking entry-level architectural designer positions where I can contribute to meaningful projects, continue developing my technical and design expertise, and work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to shaping the built environment.
